Artist Palate: OPA!

Sept. 4, 6-9 p.m.

As Ed Valles and Eric Street learned on their recent trip to Greece, the word “Opa” has no specific meaning; instead is a celebratory word to express a joyful emotion. What better way to honor a glorious end to summer than a Palate party featuring Greek food and friendship – and art, of course.

1st Stop 1st Friday

Sept. 3, 5-8 p.m.

DVAC’s open until 8 p.m. for the First Stop First Friday Art Hop. Play an “iSpy” game at the exhibition of The Chrysalis Project: A Safe Place to Grow and enter to be one of four iSpy winners to receive a free Chrysalis canvas in the raffle!

Party All Around

Sept. 10, 5-10 p.m.

DVAC stays open until 10 p.m. for Dayton’s twice-a-year street party, Urban Nights. Stop in and preview the next exhibition, Future Structures, before it officially opens, and take part in a special Chrysalis Project activity.
