It touches people's spirit without language all through the world. It is like a bridge to join the artists with diversity of people as well as students, teachers, collectors and dealers and share their feelings world wide.

Wildlife and landscape Artist John Cogan

John Cogan is a landscape and wildlife artist. He was born in Texas in 1953.He did not formally study art in any fine arts institution, infact he earned his PHD in Physics in 1981. Paintings always fascinated him, so he quit from his job to start painting.

It was my guddi’s (doll’s) wedding yesterday…I have invited several little girls of village; most of them are my friends. We use to have lot of fun playing Keeri Kara, Chupun chupai, kikli kalli (native go round and hide and seek games) after attending the school.

Badshahi mosque was constructed by the mughal ruler Aurangzeb Alamgir in 1673 in Lahore . This fabulous piece of architecture is an excellent example of Mughals Era architecture and has also become recognition for Lahore . After Faisal Mosque Pakistan ( Islamabad ) it is 2nd biggest mosque in Pakistan where almost sixty thousands people can offer their prayer together. The architecture style of its building resembles with Jamia Mosque of Delhi which was constructed by Aurangzeb’s father Shahjahan in 1648.

Bashir Ahmad’s Paintings & Sculptures on World War II

Bashir Ahmad’s 5 Days exhibition of paintings and sculptures entitled Remains of Ruins was held from 7th to 11th August 2010 at Al Hamra Art Gallery. Bashir Ahmad, is the head of the fine arts department at the National College of Arts (NCA).

Exhibition was held in memory of the victims of nuclear bombing of two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki , and aspires to encourage peace, harmony among different cultures, nations and oppose nuclear war and terrorism. Paintings and sculptures that express insight into the viciousness of war are being presented.

A War of Pride between Dazzling Stars

With a little delay of few weeks, Pakistan Media Awards 2010 took place in Karachi . Mastermind behind planning such a successful event was Mr. Arshad Siddiqui, who is running a company Excellent Events & Entertainment (Pvt.) Limited since 1990 and have expertise in managing corporate events, exhibitions and seminars. Program was also co-organized by Film Federation of Pakistan and United Producers Association along with almost all the TV and Radio entertainment channels of Pakistan who supported this event, at a time when its on critical stage due to heavy competition with India and large number of foreign tv channels. It was the trend setting award in the history of Pakistan for brilliance in media.

Paintings exhibition To Support Al Shifa Eye Hospital Rawalpindi.

The Pakistan Futuristic Foundation and Institute is exhibiting 42 paintings, a collection opened for those who wish to support restitution of impaired sight. Inceom from all 42 paintings will be given as charity to Al-Shifa Eye Hospital , Rawalpindi .


The exhibition, opened at FFI premises in sector F-7/1, has been an collection of art work, with single contribution by many painters of Rawalpindi and Mureee, including famous painter Safi Safdar; Javed Baloch; the late Halida Stewart, former vice-principal of Kinnaird College; Salima Hashmi; Syed Jehangir (a Bengali painter); a still life piece by Saima and an old gramophone record showing the flaming red Krishnachura flower tree, common in Bangladesh.

Miniature Artist Shazia Sikander

Shahzia Sikander is from Lahore , Pakistan , born in 1969. She completed undergraduate program of Fine Arts from National College of Arts Lahore, and MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Indian and Persian miniature painting are her specialization. Shazia has received many awards and honors for her work, including the honorary artist award from the Pakistan Ministry of Culture and National Council of the Arts. She now resides in New York and Texas . Her paintings discover the relationship between the present and the past and the richness of multicultural identities. Bashir Ahmed is one of her teacher who taught her and others, including Ambreen Butt and Imran Qureshi, in the late 1980s and early '90s through a meticulous training in the craft of miniature painting.
